Gary James Lockhart 1942 - 2001
|
Gary was the eldest of four children, born in Illinois in 1942; he grew up in Iowa. He moved to Seattle in 1976, and stayed here until his death except for a year in Canada, when he was married briefly. Gary had insatiable thirst for knowledge, and did diverse things to pay bills while he learned, such as chemical work, teaching, gold-mining, bus-driving, property management, janitorial and assembly-line work. He loved cats, music, telling stories, exploring, and socializing. He was talented at many things, and as kind and patient as anyone. His laughter was frequent and cheering.
But Gary's life's passion and lasting gift to humanity is his unparalleled research into alternative healing, especially herbal medicine. Though most of Gary's writing is not yet published (2 books out, 13 remaining), when it is it will be of great value. Gary's 3 siblings (Ann, Bruce & Dorothy) and I desire to see this happen, bit by bit; we welcome support. Many of Gary's Eckankar friends may also assist. If you are interested in learning more please contact me. My initial plan is to make available sample pages of each book --as I have done with all. Eventually I will edit and format each book completely, one at a time --and this will take years.

Though published in 1998 by Earthpulse Press at $29.95, you can order copies from my website via PayPal, for only $15 --free shipping! Gary thought the Earthpulse Press price too high, the page size too large, and disliked the cover; he did praise the illustrations drawn by April Bingham.
