As of June 25 2002 most of the trees are no longer labeled: 42 out of the 80 are unlabled. Tree Number 2 (Pacific Dogwood) is dead. The label for Tree Number 4 (European Larch) is on a Weeping Japanese Larch, about 20 feet southeast of a European Larch. Tree number 14 (Pin Oak) had some of the 19 Pin Oaks and one of the two Black Oaks cut down. Tree number 48 (Bigleaf Maple) is dead and its trunk was cut into a seat. Tree number 79 (Chinese Juniper) the 50-foot tall male one is dead and was cut down, but the female lives on.
